The Royals Dance Team

The Award-Winning Royals Dance Team was founded in 2011 by Miranda Richter. It has since grown to a competitive and successful dance team within its short history, adding a successful and robust JV Royals Dance Team to the program in 2016.

 

The Royals are comprised of 9th-12th grade students who perform at football games, pep rallies, dance competitions, and other special engagements.

 

The Royals are proud to promote school spirit and represent the pride and reputation of Ridge Point High School at all times!

Miranda Richter

Miranda Richter is the founding director for the Royals Dance Team.

​

She graduated from Elkins High School where she was a three-year member of the Elite Dance Team and Captain her senior year.  She holds a B.A. in Speech Communications with a minor in Dance from Texas A&M University.   She has taught in Pearland ISD and at Dulles High School as a speech/dance teacher and Assistant Director for the Dulles Dolls Dance Team.  She is the Ridge Point's Fine Arts Department Chair and FBISD Dance Facilitator as well as an active member of the Texas Dance Educator’s Association serving as Choreographer and Adjudicator for the DEAL/Dance Assessment Committee.

Miranda is passionate about dance, loves teaching the arts, but is most proud to be able to mentor and foster the growth of young women and men on a daily basis.  Her philosophy centers on the belief that hard work pays off. Miranda instills a strong work ethic and personal responsibility in her students and is blessed to fulfill her life's purpose with Ridge Point students.

She lives in her childhood home in Quail Valley with her husband and her daughter. 

Lilian Arnosky

Lilian Arnosky has been dancing since the age of three. A proud product of Fort Bend ISD, Lilian was a Captain of the Stephen F. Austin High School Angels Dance Team. She attended the University of Texas at Austin for her freshman year of college, performing as a member of the UT Dance Team. Upon transferring to the University of Houston, Lilian performed as a member of Ensemble and Young Audiences Touring Company. She was named the University of Houston Dancer of the Year in 2010, and she graduated summa cum laude with her BA in Dance in 2012. 

 

Immediately after graduation, she returned to her alma mater to serve as the Director of the Austin High School dance department and Angels Dance Team. Lilian then moved to Frisco, Texas to open a brand new high school, where she served as the Director of the Lebanon Trail High School dance department and Emerald Elite Dance Team. Lilian moved to the Austin area to open another brand new high school, where she served as the Director of the Weiss High School dance department and Scarlets Dance Team. Lilian has taught technique classes at Core Dance Alliance, served as a judge for Crowd Pleasers, Ascension, and MA Dance, and has choreographed for numerous high school dance teams throughout the state of Texas. 

 

Lilian has a wonderfully supportive family which includes her husband, Justin, her son, Cameron, and her two dogs, Sasha and Ruby.
